The criteria for the Practitioner Referral List of the NJAAOM is that the practitioner be a Certified Acupuncturist in the State of NJ as well as a member of NJAAOM. A New Jersey Certified Acupuncturist has a four year baccalaureate degree, must have graduated from an accredited (CCAOM) acupuncture program or its historical equivalent and must complete the requirements for a Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM) – many practitioners hold credentials in excess of these minimum requirements.
